Samsung UN40B6000 40 - Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV Review

Design
The UNB6000's thickest point is equal to 1.2 inches, the edges of the panel are thinner. A special flush wall mount is Samsung special offer. If you want to keep the TV on its stand, Samsung UN40B6000 will be very impressive from its side. There is no slouch from the front and a slim, subtle red border edges all four sides of the panel, while the outer transparent edge, which is a bit thinner than that of the B7000 series, lends a jewel-like look. We cannot get this series on the downside in any color but red.
The matching stand is edged in red, too. The B6000's stand and that of the B7000 series are separated by the lack of beveling on its glass surface. There is a transparent pedestal in both to keep the thin panel gracefully suspended above the stand's surface and let the TV swivel to either side.
Let us look at another design, the LEDs allow for a couple other design bonuses. The Samsung UN40B6000 runs a lot cooler than other LCD and plasma displays producing a similar amount of light. The panel itself weighs less than other models.
Features
The UNB6000's feature set is headed by edge-lit LED backlighting which these set is called "LED TVs"; however, Samsung UN40B6000 are actually otherwise normal liquid-crystal display TVs that use light-emitting diodes instead of the standard fluorescent backlights, so we have to remember. Unlike the Sony KDL-55XBR8 and Samsung LN46A950, which they use local dimming technology that mounts the LEDs behind the screen, the UNB6000 series is edge-lit, with LEDs arranged around the edge of the screen.

Samsung DLP
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Anne_Ahira]Anne Ahira
The advertisements for televisions today look more like a jumbled alphabet than actual information. If you have ever felt like you needed to be a MIT graduate to choose a television, you are not alone. Many people are still struggling with a choice between plasma and LCD or DLP. For the purposes here, we will discuss the Samsung DLP 70 inch.
Price
If you have been shopping around you are sure to have noticed that an LCD or Plasma can quickly reach the $1000 range, and that is before you get any larger than a 50 inch. The Samsung DLP 70 inch comes in with a price tag of just over $2,000. That is a monstrous television for the price, in fact price per inch wise it is cheaper than either a LCD or a plasma screen.
Specifications
• Resolution 1920x1080p
• Blue tooth headset capable with certain models
• HDMI connectivity
• Cinema smooth light engine
• Clear crisp HD quality picture
As you can see, it shares many of the same features of the smaller LCD or plasma units, but so much bigger!
Review
Big screen television connoisseurs are a finicky lot. Many times, they have been through several big screen models in their lifetime and have learned a thing or two about what to expect and avoid.
Such is the case of the 25-year big screen veteran who purchased the Samsung DLP 70 inch television. After finally making the plunge and upgrading to a high definition set this big screen fan said that the picture quality of the Samsung DLP was more than he could have ever dreamed!
The technology of the Samsung DLP is still rear projection and that puts many customers off. With so many longing to hang their televisions on the wall, many will overlook the advantages the Samsung DLP has over LCD or Plasma.
Each type of television has its own issues and commonly accepted problems. The difference with DLP over the rest is the main problem they have is a replaceable bulb that is prone to burning out. With very little effort, the old one can be removed and a new one installed allowing continued viewing pleasure.
LCD's on the other hand have issues with dead or stuck pixels which can only be repaired by a trip back to the manufacturer and ghosting or a blurring of the picture during heavy action which is not fixable.
Plasma probably has the best picture of any television however they have the very bad habit of burning in images. This means if you leave your television on overnight on accident, you could very well have your cable or satellite logo as a permanent feature of your television. Again an issue that is only fixable by a shop or the manufacturer and is usually not covered by warranty.
Save yourself some time money and frustration and purchase a Samsung DLP the next time you are in the market for a new television. They can be purchased for a more reasonable price than the competition and come with fewer issues.

Samsung HD TV - Which Technology Is Best for Me?
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Nicholas_Scoville]Nicholas Scoville
Samsung of South Korea is the world's number one brand of consumer electronics. Samsung HD TVs are some of the best available, but with so many technologies, how can you decide on which one is right for you. Most HD TVs fall into one of these three major technology groups, with more types in the works. Each type has an advantage and disadvantage, but all are superb televisions.
DLP - DLP HD TVs work by focusing and reflecting a light source off of a chip with thousands of microscopic-sized mirrors. The advantages of DLP HD TVs include their wide selection of price points and high contrast. The disadvantages are include the rainbow effect, and their expensive replacement bulbs.
LCD - LCD HD TVs work by sandwiching liquid crystal gel between two panes of polarized glass and shining a light source thorough it. The advantages of LCD HD TVs are their vast choice of screen sizes, High Resolution, including 1080p. The disadvantages are they are still somewhat expensive when comparing the same size screen, and the can have a narrow viewing angle.
Plasma - Plasma HD TVs work by exciting gases in thousands of tiny cells. The advantages of Plasma screens include, their wide viewing angle and high contrast. The disadvantages include possibility of screen burn in, and they do not always have the highest resolution at the larger screen sizes.
Choosing which display technology is right for you seems like a daunting task, but rest assured that whichever display type you choose, a Samsung HD TV will look absolutely great in your home and will give you years of enjoyment.

Samsung UE40C8000 - A View
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Andrew_Emerson]Andrew Emerson
Many people are finding that they do not have the room in their homes for a large television set that will accommodate all of the needs of the family. Historically, televisions were in large boxes that were difficult to move, and required a degree of planning to place in any room in the home. Today, televisions such as the Samsung UE40C8000, make it possible to have the benefits of a huge screen without taking up any floor space in a room. A flat screen television is versatile and functional.
In the past televisions were primarily used by the family to watch specific programs. Family members who wanted to play computer games or network, primarily used computers. In addition, when a family took vacation movies or photos, they would be viewed using a projector or computer digital display. Television today are able to meet the diverse needs of an entire family.
Televisions, while having a much larger screen, also have the capability of networking because they have built-in side jack components. The components allow the user to permanently plug in a computer USB cable, gaming cable, and Blu Ray cable. These elements can be permanently connected to the TV and kept discreetly in a lower shelf of the set.
The benefit of choosing flat-screen televisions is that they can be placed in virtually any location in a home. The only consideration that must be taken with this type of television is the lighting. While some of the flat screen televisions have automatic contrast and brightness control, some do not have this feature. When choosing your television, it will be important to determine where you will be placing it and the amount of light that will be directed towards the screen.
In the past, flat screen televisions were prone to "burn-in". This resulted when the television was left on unattended and the image on the screen would burn into the pixels. The problem has been resolved over the past few years through different measures. Some televisions have an automatic shut-off switch that is triggered when the TV sense no movement in a room. Other televisions have a moving image, just like a computer, that keep the pixels from burning an image onto the screen.
Flat screen televisions can be mounted on a wall very easily. There are special, heavy duty brackets, specifically designed for the television. When these brackets are mounted on the wall, they are secured to the wall stud to keep the TV in place. If you do not want to mount your television, there is a crystal or metal stand that holds the television in place on a firm surface. The stand is designed to allow the television to be directed towards whomever is watching it.
When choosing a large television, you may want to select the type of TV that will fit in a family room and maintain its beauty over a long period of time. The television you select must be durable and sturdy. The remote control on the television should be easy to navigate and the internal system should have several automatic defaults that prevent the color, contrast, or crisp picture to be altered.
A versatile and functional television that will accommodate all members of the family will be an ideal long term investment. When there are small children in a home, the ability to mount a large screen television such as the Samsung UE40C8000 will increase the value of the television because there will not be any interference or accidental issues that often arise when small children adjust or tune the controls.
